timeless beauty

Although Elizabeth Taylor passed away just yesterday, I feel as if she has been gone and became a legend years ago. Surely by now she would have a few statues of her somewhere, and thousands of parents already named their daughter after her. Sometimes I would catch myself speaking about her as if she has been gone 50 years ago. Even though I see images of her in her senior years, I will always remember her as a beautiful woman with dark brows and nice cheekbones, who always wear the cutest 50's bathing suit that I wish I could fit my body into.

I also think about Audrey Hepburn the same way. When I found a picture of Audrey Hepburn in her 60s, I couldn't believe someone like her could age. For some reason, it just shocks me every time. On the negative side, it made me realize that no matter how beautiful things are, they will eventually die, which is probably why we value it so much when they are alive. But I only mean that in the physical sense, because of course the legends that Audrey and Elizabeth left behind are still well with us.

This is the way I will always remember them
